The Spanish economy will record the second-highest GDP growth in 2007, second only to Sweden, according to forecasts by experts at The Economist, which appeared in the latest issue of that prestigious publication. In the case of Spain, the magazine predicts GDP of 3%, a 0.1% more than in previous forecasts and second only to Sweden which will reach 3.3%.

Also, according to the report World Investment Prospects to 2010 by the same publication, Spain is the world's eleventh most important economy when it comes to market opportunities and one of the most active countries when it comes to attracting foreign capital, with a business environment that is very attractive to foreign direct investment (FDI). The Economist also mentions Australia (2.9%), the UK (2.4%) and The Netherlands (2.3%) while the average for the Euro zone remains at 2%.
