Catalonia has become one of Europe's leading regions in the field of industrial mouldings, with a 42% of all Spanish companies doing business in the region. The moulding industry employs around 4,300 workers with annual revenue of 350 million euros, holding the top position among all Spanish autonomous regions.

In Spain, the moulding industry works closely with car companies, household appliances manufacturers and the toy sector, with France and Germany receiving around 50% of the production. Spain is in the top 10 list of world producers, with sales of 827 million euros.
