Food research complex Alicia expects to open its doors next October in Sant Benet de Bages. The center is to accommodate all experts with projects related to research and innovation in the food industry. One of Alicia's first activities will be a study of food and eating habits in patients with serious diseases, such as cancer, to find diets that would help them reduce side effects produced by medical treatments. The center also plans training activities and to start projects regarding diabetics, people with celiac disease, and heart patients.
