La Farga invests 22 million Euros in a new copper plantIndustrial concern La Farga has invested 12 million euros in a new plant to produce copper rod, a move aimed at becoming Spain's leading copper producer. The company is also to invest an additional 10 million euros in the improvement of its existing facilities.
The new plant will have 2,500 square meters and will add 25 new jobs. La Farga plans to take advantage of the strong demand for copper in international markets and expects to reach a production of 80,000 tons in 2007, a figure that could increase to 120,000 tons in 2010. The company, which last year posted revenue of 500 million euros, foresees revenue of 800 million euros for 2008.
