Infinitec to set up its labs at the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB)Biotech firm Infinitec Activos is to set up its R+D laboratories and headquarters at the new Parc Científic de Barcelona. Infinitec, which specializes in the development of products and active ingredients for the cosmetic industry, is to keep production at its plant of Montornès del Vallès.
During its first year of operation, in 2006, Infinitec posted revenue of half a million euros. The company is partly owned by venture capital firm BCN Emprèn (45%) and Innova 31.
The 80,000 square-meter Parc Científic de Barcelona offers facilities for biotechnology companies and promotes a multidisciplinary approach in a complex expected to gather over 1,600 experts.
