Candy company Chupa Chups to build a new plant in Sant Esteve SesroviresCandy multinational company Chupa Chups has started the construction of a new plant in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, with an investment of 25 million euros. The new facilities are to be located in the Sierra industrial park and will offer an area of 21,500 square meters. The new plant will replace Chupa Chups' original plant in Sant Esteve's downtown area.
Since 2006, Chupa Chups is part of Italian conglomerate Perfetti Van Melle. Perfetti's CEO Ubaldo Traidi indicated that the new plant is "as of today, the largest investment carried out by the company in Europe."
