Internationalization Week of Catalonia 2007On November 21st, 22nd and 23rd, the Montjuïc facilities of Fira de Barcelona hosted the Internationalization Week of Catalonia 2007, an important event that each year allows internationalization agents to make Catalan firms aware of the tools and services which will be of vital assistance in improving their competitiveness.
Organized by the Consortium for Commercial Promotion of Catalonia (COPCA), the Internationalization Week kicked off with the opening plenary session hosted by Ged Davis, an expert in prospective economics, who talked about new global challenges to be faced by Catalan companies in the current and future socioeconomic context. The Week provided a wide-ranging programme of activities, with the participation of over 250 experts and professionals: 20 companies and institutions at the Services Fair, more than 700 interviews at the Meeting of Business Promotion Centres, 45 Workshops, 10 Seminars at the meeting of Mediterranean Economies, 3 Workshops at the Forum of Overseas Markets and the celebration of COPCA's 20th anniversary at the Night of the Internationalization Week of Catalonia.
