Relevant Events

Biotechnology and the creation of technology-based companies show a clear evidence of consolidation in Catalonia. Recent initiatives include the creation of a new "Bioincubator" at the Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB), a project sponsored by the Universitat de Barcelona, the Catalan Government and Banco Santander. The new bioincubator's objective is to support companies involved in biotechnology activities in Catalonia and to promote the creation of new ones. The PCB also offers access to lab facilities to allow new firms to develop their scientific activities.
