CRC, General Electric sign agreement early detection of cancerThe CRC-CIM (the Center for Molecular Imaging) and GE's health division have signed an agreement to create the first center of radio medicines PET in Barcelona, the first of its kind in Spain. Radio-medicines are radioactive chemical components effective in early detection of cancer, tumors, and heart and neurological problems. The new center is to be located at Barcelona's Parc de Recerca Biomèdica.
CRC Corporació Sanitària CEO Norberto Galindo said that the agreement could add revenues of 20 million euros over the next 10 years. CRC is an association of 14 companies that operate 21 diagnostic centers throughout Spain.
