Our web site www.cidem.com has been improved in order to facilitate universal access both to handiccaped people and to people who wish to access with different kinf of devises and browsers.

We have adapted our entire web to the recommendations of the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), so as to eliminate the barriers that prevent the right of any person to access information and communication.

• Use of (X)HTLM HTML 4.01 and CSS 1.2 & 2.1, to create standard documents and a clean structure.
• Positioning of content by means of CSS and without tables. Display readers for blind or visually impaired people read the document in a logical way.
• Content has been semantically organized just as the standards stress, in order to make navigation with no CSS easier.
• Alternative description of images.
• The use of JavaScript (Fold-outs, chips, etc) is an option, not a requirement. An alternative is always provided to the users with JavaScript deactivated or old versions without DOM support.

How to browse without using the mouse? Keyboard shortcuts

A series of key combinations have been defined to facilitate browsing through the most frequent contents in cidem.com without having to use your mouse. Speed, comfort and accessibility for persons with impaired vision or motor difficulties are some of the benefits of these keyboard commands.

The defined options combine the Alt and Control keys, depending on the browser:

• [Alt / Ctrl] + 1 + ENTER: Direct acccess to the home page of Cidem.
• [Alt / Ctrl] + 2 + ENTER: Access to the main browse menu of the page that is currently open in the browser.
• [Alt / Ctrl] + 3 + ENTER: It places the cursor in the cidem.com searcher to easily commence your search.
• [Alt / Ctrl] + 4 + ENTER: It goes to the page contents.
• [Alt / Ctrl] + 5 + ENTER: It opens the site map page.
