Objectives- To facilitate a common knowledge among different regional and national programmes, support to manufacturing R&D&I and identify the best practices.
- It is a long term initiative which would not end with the 6th Framework Programme ERA-NET proposal, but it would continue in the 7th FW ERA-NET Plus with a Manufacturing initiative at a European level.
- Identification of common and complementary elements of the regional research initiatives.
- Coordination of thematic priorities, both in regional and European programmes. To make use of the knowledge about the industrial sector and the importance of the member regions in order to influence on the Commission's priorities about the industrial field, and to influence as well from the MANUFUTURE technological platform.
- Exceptional relations with the MANUFUTURE technological platform as an active work agent and well-known in the field of industrial research.
Results - Creation of a support programmes map of European industrial research.
- To open a notice of financial assistance for transregional projects. In the first notice (2007) each region would finance its part (firm or technological centre) with its programme of aids. In future notices we would try to incorporate the project into the 7th FP ERANET-Plus, where the participants would create a common fund and the Commission would add a 30% to increase it.
