Objective 

To foster the transfer of technology in the field of biotechnology between Europe and North America (Massachusetts and Canada). Entities participating in the projects are Catalan firms, research laboratories and technology centres which collaborate in biotechnological projects (agriculture, food and medicine).

At a more operative level, the project has the following objectives:

• To choose the best Catalan technologies in the field of biotechnology.
• To create technology transfer agreements in Europe, connecting Catalan and European technologies and creating joint technology offers in order to promote them in North America.
• To channel technology demands from North American biotechnological companies to Europe.
• To organize technological exchange meetings in Europe and Massachusetts.
• To render personal assessment services to biotechnological companies that wish to achieve technology transfer agreements.   

Results 

1. Creation and selection of joint technological offers.
2. Organization of a technological meeting in Bavaria.
3. Organization of a technological meeting in Massachusetts.
4. Exchange of experts from participating entities.
5. Training seminars on business development in the field of biotechnology and training sessions on intellectual property and patents.
6. Meetings for the spreading of results, projects' meetings and meetings with European institutions.
7. Web and promotional brochures of projects.
