Escola Bonanova is a trade school for public health professionals managed by the Institut Municipal d'Assistència Sanitària (Health Assistance Institute) - IMAS - and is part of the Q1 net of the Department of Education and Universities of the Catalan Government.

They offer regulated health education (nursing assistants and health technicians). The offer on health professional training education is consolidated, especially on advanced vocational qualifications. Likewise, a large number of specialised continued education programs have been developed.

The government of Catalonia considers this school as the reference institution for health professional high education, and so will soon the Ministry of Education of the Spanish Government. 

Escola Bonanova has been awarded with the Organizational Innovation Prize for its solid and extensive teaching activity, for the specialized professional education, for the continued education in the field of health, for its own education project based on quality and aimed to prepare good professionals and for being a reference institution for health professions education.
