Technology Centres Network

The Ministry of Employment and Industry of the Government of Catalonia is developing an instrument aimed to promote technology transfer. This instrument is the Technology Centres Network (CT) and its objective is to help to overcome the infrastructure deficit and to develop the organization of the Catalan Innovation System.

The existence of different R&D centres has lead to the creation of a Technological Centres Registry. This registry allows the knowledge and organization of the Catalan Innovation System; it includes a list of the Scientific and Technological organizations located in Catalonia, their functions and their objectives.

What is a Technology Centre (CT)?

The main activity of these centres is the transfer of knowledge generated in the public and private research centres. They also have the objective to adapt to the business language, the characteristics of their products and the demand of their customers.

These centres will carry out activities of applied research, precompetitive development and services. They will be specialized in a type of technology or sector, with excellence criteria in a national and international level. So that, depending on their size, level of knowledge, specialization and technological resources, they will be able to provide continuous support to innovation.
