What is the Family reunification?
Reunification is a right of foreigners residing lawfully in Spain. This right is recognized by Law and it can be applied for those people who have lived in the country for one year and that hold a residence permit valid for at least one more year. The persons who are eligible for family unification are: the applicant's spouse, the children (adopted children included) and dependant ascendants of the applicant or the spouse. Children who are under age and disabled can be also reunified if the applicant his/her legal representative. The applicant may be required to have accomodation which meets general safety and health standards and sufficient resources to maintain the members of his/her family.
